Timing Is Everything!

I love having a lot of flowers in the garden because they attract bees. In turn the bees reward us by pollinating our garden veggies. It's a win win situation :0) Thought I would update everyone on the baby sparrow that was in a nest in one of our hanging flower baskets. Timing is everything. I happened to be watering our hanging baskets when I noticed our cat, Libby, stalking something in the yard. I immediately knew what she was after. Turns out the baby sparrow had left the nest and was hopping on the ground. I dropped the hose and ran to Libby. I grabbed her up and locked her up in the garage until I could get the baby bird to a safe place. I just hope the mamma sparrow finds him or her. I knew it was a matter of time before the baby left the nest. He or she was way too big for the nest.

April Fool's Day

Our Fringe tree in full bloom. It smells great too!

Our 10 year old cat, Libby, sunning herself on the driveway on this
summer like day. Hope you've had a great Sunday wherever you are!

Our cat, Libby, napping on the deck. I feel for our furry little
babies during this scorching hot weather, but they seem to
cope pretty well.

Up Close & Personal

Our cat, Libby. Libby is a "tortoiseshell cat."

Tortoiseshell describes a coat coloring found mostly in female
cats. Cats of this color are mottled, with patches of orange or
cream and chocolate, black or blue. They are sometimes called
torties for short.

Cats of this coloration are believed to bring good luck in the
folklore of many cultures. In the United States, these are
sometimes referred to as money cats.

Soaking Up the Sun!

I took these pictures after our last snow event. Our cats, Libby
and Jessica, love to sleep on top of our spa cover, even when it
is snow covered :0) They don't seem to mind as long as they can
find a clear spot to lounge on. Oh to be a cat!

Cat Got Your Tongue?

Our cat, Libby looks like she doesn't have a head in this picture :)

Cleaning herself on top of our spa.

I swear, that cat has a tongue that's five feet long :)

Spider Web Cat

Our cat, Libby likes to hang out down in our Leyland Cyprus
trees. There she can stalk birds and catch the occasional mouse.
This is what she looked like after one of her excursions :) The
spider webs all over her face and head didn't seem to faze her.

Ahhhhh, nap time! I love this cat...she's so easy going :)

Random Night Shots

Libby cat followed me around the yard while I took pictures
last night. I took this picture of her with the while balance
setting on tungsten.

The moon looked spooky with the black clouds around it.

I took this shot with the night portrait setting. I could've used a
tripod for a steadier shot, but chose to hold the camera. I think
it turned out pretty well.

Beautiful first day of fall full moon!

Strange Kitty

I don't know why this picture turned out the way it did,
but I like it :) Looks like Libby has two sets of eyes.

Terry caught our cat, Libby, gazing through the deck railing
at the bird box in our cherry tree. We had a family of wrens
nesting there, but they have since left.

Such a curious kitty :)

A Cat's Life

I took this picture of our cats, Libby and Jessica, through our
kitchen window. Here they are in their favorite spots. Libby is
on top of the grill and Jessica is on top of the spa cover. Notice
how Jessica's front paws are crossed? She's so funny :)

Jesse cat is the queen of the castle and let's
Libby know it on a daily basis. She cracks me
up sometimes.
