I've really been enjoying my macro lens! I still have a lot of
learning to do though. The key to good macro photography is
focus. It's hard to keep the camera still. Shot this picture of
a Praying Mantis this morninig. In your face :0)

Macro Photography

Yesterday, me and Terry took a trip down to Dury's in Nashville.
I had been saving up my Christmas and birthday money and had
decided to by a new flash for my camera. What I wasn't expecting
to get was a macro lens. What an unexpected surprise it was when
Terry asked me if I would like to get one. I've always wanted a
macro lens because it's the form of photography that I'm most
interested in. The following pictures are my first attempt with
my new lens. It's harder than you think.

Bullet loves to sit on my laptop while I'm surfing the web. He was
watching me play Cafe World on Facebook the other night :0) He
also loves pawing at the mouse pointer on the computer screen.

Zinnia Garden 2011

We've really enjoyed our Zinnias this year! They're so pretty and
attract a variety of butterflies and even Hummingbirds. I'm
bummed that we didn't plant any sunflowers this year. I will
definitely make up for that next year :0)

Cats seem to find joy in the little things :0) Our kitty, Bullet, had
the best time playing with the window blind cords. He is so much
fun to watch! Never a dull moment.

should be allowed to have :0)

Cats Do the Darndest Things

Bullet sleeping in my desk drawer :0) This is one of his favorite
spots to grab a nap.

We haven't had a kitten around our house for a long, long time.
Our new kitty, Bullet, is so entertaining! Seem he's always into
something. Here he is asleep on top of my wireless router. He
loves sleeping on it because it's warm. I wonder if he will settle
down any once he's neutered? That happens in 3 weeks.

Comfy Kitty

One of Bullet's fave places to snooze :0) It's scary how quickly
you can become attached to these little furballs!

Getting Acquainted

Our newest kitty, Bullet, taking a snooze in my office chair. After
much consideration we decided to keep the little furball.

Bullet and Jessica checking each other out through the front door.

Jessie, who is 15, doesn't quite know what to think about this
latest addition to the family. Hopefully they will become friends
soon! The same goes for Libby, our 9 year old cat. So far all those
two do is scowl and hiss at each other.

At a little under 2 lbs. Bullet has a lot of growing to do. Hopefully
we can fatten him up a little :0)

They Always Come Back :0)

I woke up this morning to the sound of a kitten crying! Turns out
one of the three kittens that we took in over the weekend has
come back. So, I took it to our Animal Wellness center here in
town and found out it's a male and is about 10 weeks old. He's a
tiny little thing weighing in at 1.6pounds. I had him wormed,
tested for feline leukemia, and he's had his first shots. Animal
Wellness also gave me some free Heartline, which was really nice
of them. We plan on finding a home for the little guy. So far the
other two haven't shown up and I hope they don't. I think it will
be easier to find a home for one instead of three
kitties.
