It was so nice waking up this morning to to this beautiful blue sky. The sun also made a much welcomed appearance. After all the winter weather we've experienced over the last week, hopefully spring is finally here!

Our Forsythias have survived the cold weather, although they did look kind of puny when I took this picture.

Been thinking about my mom. Today would've been her 92nd birthday. I miss her each and every day! Kudos to my sister, Kay, who took this great shot.

On the Inside Looking Out

I took this picture on our back porch. Bullet was looking at me out of the back door. It made for a pretty neat photo with the reflections of the back porch in the glass.

Flynn's Creek

I took both of these pictures on March 16th at Flynn's Creek boat ramp during our road trip down to Gainesboro, TN.

I outlined my profile with a red LED light. Kind of freaky looking, eh?

The slow exposure caught my arm moving as I outlined my profile.

Fun with fire. I used a flexible lighter for the background of this shot. I was very, very careful!

Truth!

Terry snapped this beautiful shot today in the Rob Draper Memorial cemetery in Jackson county. We took a road trip down to Gainesboro, TN to place a flag on my mom and dad's grave. On the way home we dropped by to see our Aunt Joy who is 98 years young. She got on Facebook for the very first time. Had an enjoyable visit with her. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Fun Photo Friday!

I was fooling around with my iPad mini today and took these shots with the 360 Panorama app. This view is called Stereographic. This is my entire backyard.

This is a shot of our office and my makeshift photo studio. Hope everyone is having a great TGIF and was able to get out and do something fun :0)

Mushroom Light Painting

Magical mushrooms. I love how this one turned out!

It's hard to believe that our sweet Jessie cat will be 17 years old this year! She is the sweetest cat I have ever owned and I've had many cats in my life. She's really been enjoying the warm weather we've been having lately. She loves to sleep on top of our spa cover. When it's cold she stays holed up in the garage. Guess her old bones can't handle the cold much anymore.

Meanwhile, Bullet has discovered a way to open the cabinet where I keep our plates. Sunday morning, he tried to jump inside the cabinet, but there wasn't any room. After several futile attempts he finally gave up.

Busted! He's thinking maybe she won't be mad at me because I'm just so darned cute.

Light painting using my lava lamp. The weird thing is, the bottom and the top of the lamp don't show up in the picture. Cue Twilight Zone Theme :0)

Me messing around  with some light painting. I've turned our office into a makeshift dark room to indulge in my new favorite kind of photography.

Heart shaped box.

I did all of these light paintings with a strand of LED Christmas lights. I traced my hand in this first shot. I love this type of photography. It's very addicting!

I took a strand of lights and twirled them around.

This last shot looks like a heart. That was unintentional, but so neat that it turned out that way :0)

I just had to share this video that I made last night with an Ipad mini app called 8mm. You can make videos that look and sound just like an old 8mm movie camera. Download it and try it out. It's a lot of fun :0)
