Dale Hollow Lake Pt. 2

Shale rock covers the shoreline of the lake.

Cedar tree with gnarly roots.

This is too cool!

I found this piece of driftwood on one of our many camping
trips to Dale Hollow. Thanks to Rob for retrieving this for me!

Dale Hollow Lake

Dale Hollow Lake is my favorite lake in the state of Tennessee.

Dale Hollow Lake, known for crystal clear water and it's pristine,
natural beauty was first constructed in 1943, primarily for flood
control. In recent years it's remote aesthetic lure has consistently
made it one of the top 10 most visited Corps of Engineers lakes.

Dale Hollow Lake has 620 miles of shoreline, and is located in 6
counties and 2 states. The lake covers a total of 52,000 acres,
with 27,000 acres of water, and 25,000 acres of adjoining acres
of boundary land.

Check out this link for the history of Dale Hollow Lake:

One of many coves and inlets on the lake. The water level
was way down when we were there.

More Dale Hollow pics to come :)
