Sunset on May 29th.

I took this shot looking toward the city of Myrtle Beach and the Myrtle Beach pier.
Terry on the pier at Myrtle Beach State Park. He bought that hat at one of the shops in Pawley's Island. Just what he needs, another hat :0) There were a lot of people fishing from the pier. One man caught a sea turtle and immediately park rangers converged on the scene. Sea turtles are endangered and they took great care in trying to get the hook out of it's mouth. They wrapped it in wet towels and were carrying it to a local vet when we left the pier. I believe they said it had swallowed the hook. I hope he or she was alright. It made me sad to see that beautiful creature that way, but it was an accident. You could tell the man who caught the sea turtle was upset.
I took this shot from the pier looking back toward our beach house. It's the last house you see in the picture.
After we left the pier, we walked over to the nature center in the park. This is one of many snakes they had. This is a glass snake. The following pictures were all taken at the nature center.
I think in all I took over 150 pictures on our last day at the beach. I'm still sorting through all of them, so I will be posting more. I was going to post last night, but after a 10 hour drive, I was too tired.

Beautiful pictures! The Atlantic is so blue! Sad about the sea turtle. :( I'm sure that man felt awful about it. Hope it's ok. Nice hat, T! :) Looking forward to more beach pics!
