Cummins Falls State Park

Me and T took a road trip down to Cummins Falls, which has recently
been designated as Tennessee's 54th state park. Temps were in the 90's
when we took the trek to the viewing area of the falls. They have work
yet to do in the area, but it's going to be really nice!

Cummins Falls also has been listed as one of the ten best swimming
holes in the United States by Travel and Leisure magazine. The water
is 30 ft. deep.

The falls are 75 feet high.

Cummins Falls is on the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River.

The trek down to the bottom of the falls is not
for the faint of heart. My hubby, Terry has repelled
off the side of the bluff here. Of course that was back
in his younger days :0)

Great pictures! Man, it's been forever since I've been there. I believe it was in the 80s when Don & I started dated. That's been awhile! :)
