Happy Birthday, Jane!
My sister Jane turns 49 today! She was thisclose to being a
Halloween baby.
Happy Birthday, Jane! I love you and am so very blessed to have
you for a sister :)

thread to the meaning of life."~ Isadora James
"A sister shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams."

Blackbirds
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

The Calm Before the Storm?
Terry took this beautiful picture this morning. Middle Tennessee
is under a tornado watch until 5pm this afternoon. Hopefully the
weather won't be severe today!

Fall Morning
"I don't ask for the meaning of the song of a bird or the rising of
the sun on a misty morning. There they are, and they are beautiful.

Waiting for the Sun
My hubby, Terry took these incredible sunrise pictures Monday
morning as he got ready for work. Enjoy!
“Sunrise doesn't last all morning, a cloudburst doesn't last all
day, seems my love is up and has left you with no warning.
It's not always going to be this grey. All things must pass, all
things must pass away.” ~ George Harrison
And even the sun in dawn chorus sings, a celestial
melody to the earth below." ~ Tjaden

Autumn Berries
Wild strawberry in the field next to our house.
I have no idea what kind of berries these are, but they're pretty ;)

Fall on Dan Drive
Our neighbor's Sugar Maple is always so pretty
in the fall :)
Our neighbor across the street has this really cute fall display
in their front yard.
I took this shot in the field near our backyard.

Mother Nature
We had a severe thunderstorm a couple of days ago. One of our
Bradford Pear trees was damaged in the storm. We've had these
trees for 13 years and have been lucky that they haven't been
damaged in the past. I guess our luck finally ran out.
It looks like Terry will get to use that new chainsaw he bought
earlier this year :)
“If there was a terrible storm outside, but somehow this dog lived
through the storm, and he showed up at your door when the storm
was finally over, I think a good name for him would be Carl.”

Frosty Shrooms
This is what's left of the beautiful red mushrooms that were
growing in our sideyard. We had two nights of hard frost last
week. Hate to see them go :( Hope they're back next year!

Smile for the Camera :)
This is the Praying Mantis I found in my Iris bed a few days ago.
I picked him up with a stick and put him in a safer place. Plus it
was easier for me to get some pictures of him. He looks like he
has a little smile on his face :)

Mushroom Buddies
How cute is this? I'm glad I got pictures of these colorful little
mushrooms because they're gone now. If you're wondering, yes
this is a posed shot :)
