I took this picture of Venus and Jupiter on March 13th.

The planet Venus, crescent moon and the planet
Jupiter on March 25th. By the time I got out to
take pictures, the moon and Jupiter were starting
to set.
The planet Venus, crescent moon and the planet
Jupiter on March 26th. I got this shot earlier in
the evening. It was a beautiful sight!

They're Baaaaaaaaack!
I was filling our bird feeder with seed this morning when I heard a
familiar chattering. I knew immediately it was our Tree Swallows
coming back to nest in our back yard. This will be the 3rd year in
a row that they've come to nest in the bird house on our garden arbor.
The sight of them really made my day :0)

Venus & Jupiter
The planets Jupiter and Venus in alignment last night. It was a
gorgeous evening to go out and get some shots of this celestial
encounter. This event happens every 13 months. Last night, the
two planets were separated by just 3 degrees. Venus is the brighter
of the two planets even though it's much smaller in size.
When two planets line up in the sky, astronomers call it "planetary
conjunction." March 24th, 25th and 26th, a crescent moon will join
the global meeting between Jupiter and Venus being visible with the
two planets.
I took this shot of Jupiter and Venus looking through the top of our
garden arbor. Beautiful! If you get the chance and the sky is clear
tonight, go out and check this out.

It was a gorgeous day for a road trip yesterday. It was our first one
since Terry had his foot surgery almost three weeks ago. We ended
up in Watertown and Norene, small towns in rural Wilson County.
As we were driving along one of the country roads, I spotted these
deer in someone's back yard. Terry backed the truck up and stopped
and I quickly started snapping pictures. As soon as they saw us they
started to scatter. At least I got a few good shots of them.
"I ask people why they have deer heads on their walls. They always
say because it's such a beautiful animal. There you go. I think my
mother is attractive, but I have photographs of her."

Kitty Fun on a Stormy Day
Our cat, Bullet, checking out our 16 year old cat, Jessica. We let
Jessica in during the stormy weather on Friday. The two get along
pretty well, but Bullet is a kitten and he can get a little too rough
sometimes. Jessie cat lets him know who the top cat on the totem
pole is :0)

We let our cat, Jessica, inside during the storms the other day. She
made a bee line to the guest bedroom and made herself at home on
the bed :0)

Stormy Day!
Yesterday was a day of severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado
warnings across Middle Tennessee. We had lots of heavy rain, winds
and some ominous clouds that rolled through our neighborhood. There
were a couple of rotating thunderstorm clouds spotted near Carthage,
which is ten miles to the north of us. All in all I would say we dodged a
bullet yesterday as we were in a high risk for tornadoes. The scary thing
is tornado season hasn't even begun yet.

Post Op #2
Terry had his 2nd post operative doctor's visit this
morning. This is what his foot looked like before the
doctor removed his stitches. He was quite happy about
that. Now he can take a shower. His foot wasn't as swollen
as it was on the first visit. The doc told him he could go
back to work next Wednesday, so he's progressing good :0)
Next visit is in three weeks.
