Yesterday afternoon we had four hummers flying around our feeder and I didn't have my camera. Ugh! Why is it you never have your camera handy when a great shot presents itself?

Lone Sunflower

This lone little sunflower grew beneath our bird feeder. The
goldfinches have already been pecking on it. I plan on having
a sunflower garden next year.

Seed Sock

We bought this little seed sock at
Wal Mart last week. It's a really neat
way to feed the birds, specifically finches
and chickadees etc...It's fun watching the
birds clinging to that sock, especially when
it twirls in the wind :0)

Three years ago today my youngest brother,
Rob, passed away suddenly at the age of 44.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about him
or smile at something he did or said. I miss him
terribly, but I know one day we will see him again.

Dove & Goldfinch

I've really enjoyed our bird feeders! It's fun
watching different kinds of birds interact with
one another. For the most part they all seem
to get along :0)

This pretty, little Dove was under one of our bird
feeders eating seeds that had fallen on the ground.

"Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I
fly away, and be at rest."

Chickadee

I'm so excited about my new bird feeder. My awesome
hubby came home with the feeder and two bags of seed
on Friday :0) He said I have a present for you. It's something
that you've been wanting. Thank you T! This little chickadee
was the very first visitor to our feeder.
