Sun, Sun, Sun, Here It Comes!

After days of subfreezing temperatures in Middle Tennessee, the ice and snow is finally starting to melt.

Our birdbath is still a mini skating rink.

I was starting to get cabin fever, so I ventured out to capture a few shots of what snow remains in our back yard.

Counting down the days until spring and planting our garden. I’ve missed working out in the yard.

Snow Macro

It was another snowy morning in my little town. I shot this video this morning at 9:25. It was beautiful while it lasted and only made me want more. Enjoy!

Snow!

It started snowing here last night around 11:30 pm. The flakes were big and gorgeous and were flying around in the high winds. Terry was already in bed. Me and our cat, Bullet stood by the back door and watched the snow fall. We even went out onto the back porch at one point. Needless to say we didn't stay out there long. We don't get a lot of snow here in Tennessee like we used to, but we'll take whatever we can get. I would estimate about an inch or so fell. Sadly, it's almost all gone now. Hopefully we can get a substantial snowfall before winter comes to an end!

Below the Center Hill Dam where it runs into the Caney Fork River. If you look closely at the rocks near the water's edge you can make out some kind of water fowl. Not sure what that was.

We found this pretty creek on our road trip.

It was so clear you could see the bottom.

Hard to believe it was almost 70 degrees just three days ago. Today we have a mixture of sleet, rain and snow. The first thing I thought of when I took this picture was 666 the number of the beast :0)

Color on a Grey Day

I took this picture on one of many grey days we've had this winter. It's
been so nice to see the sun shining for the past four days! Hopefully it
stays sunny for awhile.

Oh Deer!

We stopped in the middle of the road to get this shot of a deer.
I took this picture out the window of the Jeep on our way back
from the lake.
