I found this brown Praying Mantis on the window screen a couple
of days ago.
The name "mantis" comes from the Greek word for 'prophet' or 'soothsayer.'
Up close and personal. Smile for the camera :)
The praying mantis has very good eyesight and can see movement
up to 60 feet away from them. They also have ultrasonic hearing.

Cool shots! I can't see a pic of a praying mantis without thinking of that one we saw at church ages ago! :-) Have fun in Gatlinburg!
