Cherry Blossom macro.

The led light I was using for this light painting was a little brighter than I intended. So bright that you can see me to the side of the tree doing my thing. By the look on my face, you can tell I'm really into it :0)

Yoshino Cherry Light Painting

I did this light painting in our backyard on April 10th.

The Yoshino Cherry tree in our back yard in full bloom and lit up. Beautiful!

Cherry Blossoms

Our Yoshino Cherry tree is in bloom! So pretty!

It was so nice waking up this morning to to this beautiful blue sky. The sun also made a much welcomed appearance. After all the winter weather we've experienced over the last week, hopefully spring is finally here!

Our Forsythias have survived the cold weather, although they did look kind of puny when I took this picture.

Female Ruby Throated Hummingbird perched in our Yoshino Cherry tree.

The ruby throated hummingbird is a wonder of migration. Every winter it makes an amazing journey. Some have been known to make a journey of 2500 miles or more, from Alaska to Central America. Because of it, the hummingbird is a symbol for accomplishing that which seems impossible. It will teach you how to find the miracle of joyful living from your own life circumstances.

Tree Toppers

We had our Leyland Cyprus trees topped today. We had them topped several years ago. I couldn't believe how much they had grown back.

We're happy to get our view back, but still have some privacy from the cemetery.

Sadly we had to have our Yoshino Cherry tree cut down because it was dying. I hated to see it go, but we plan on planting two more in our back yard. We planted this tree 13 years ago in memory of my dad. It was so beautiful when it was in full bloom. It looked like a pink cloud when lit up at night. I'm glad I have several pictures of it in it's glory days.

A Mother's Work is Never Done

I took this series of photos on May 20th as a mama Robin feeds
her three babies. The nest is in one of our cherry trees. I don't
see how that little nest held all those birds :0)


The baby bird pictured here left the nest soon after I took this
picture. The rest left a couple of days later.

I took this picture with my long lens, standing on our deck looking
up into our cherry tree. I love the pink blossoms against that
beautiful blue sky! After yesterday and last night's storms there
aren't many blooms left on the trees.

She realized I was snapping pictures of her, so she got up and
