Comfy Kitty

Bullet is loving his cat tree more and more each day. He spends most of his time napping on the top tier of the tree. Cats have such a hard life :0)

Garden 2013

We planted our garden several weeks ago. With all the rain and heat, it's already taking off. We hope to have plenty of cherry tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and okra.

Up A Tree

Bullet enjoying a cat nap on his new cat tree. This thing is almost as tall as me. It's carpeted with plush material with many rope covered scratching posts and three platforms at varying heights. We got this two days ago and Bullet wouldn't have anything to do with it. I was starting to get bummed thinking he would never use it. Never say never. Yesterday, he started seriously checking it out. I found him asleep on it this morning and he's napping on it as I make this post. We have it by our back door so he can keep an eye on the goings on in the back yard. He loves watching the birds. Ah, the life of a cat!

Garden 2013 is well underway. This is our first cucumber flower of the season. We're hoping for a better garden this year than we had last year. So far, so good!

After a couple of setbacks, our Tree Swallow couple has finally been successful. I found the half of this tiny egg shell on the step under the birdhouse this morning. When mama flew out, I quickly peeked inside the house and saw three tiny babies. She would've had four, but something got to one of the eggs early on. Here's hoping that a few weeks from now the babies will fledge successfully.

Mom's lilies are in bloom and are absolutely gorgeous! I was afraid they would bloom while we were at the beach. I was so happy to see them just starting to bloom when we arrived home last Friday.
