| I'm pretty excited about the first cherry tomatoes from our garden! I can't wait for the big ones to start coming in. I can taste that tomato sandwich now :0) |

Garden 2013
| We planted our garden several weeks ago. With all the rain and heat, it's already taking off. We hope to have plenty of cherry tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and okra. |

Macro Photography
Yesterday, me and Terry took a trip down to Dury's in Nashville.
I had been saving up my Christmas and birthday money and had
decided to by a new flash for my camera. What I wasn't expecting
to get was a macro lens. What an unexpected surprise it was when
Terry asked me if I would like to get one. I've always wanted a
macro lens because it's the form of photography that I'm most
interested in. The following pictures are my first attempt with
my new lens. It's harder than you think.

Random Garden
Orange Zinnia
Yellow cherry tomatoes up close and personal.
The scurge of every yard and garden...the Japanese Beetle.
I really hate when these things start making an appearance!
Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in
the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally
taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity.
