The Spider and the Fly

I found this really cool spider web covered with dew on
one of our boxwood bushes this morning.

This fly was taking a break on one of our garden planters.

Some Random Shots

My tattoo!

Terry's mom is an accomplished painter. This is from a
painting that she did for Terry. His name is painted in the
roots of the tree. Very cool!

Cherry tomatoes from our veggie garden. I could live off
of these!

A pod from our Tulip Poplar tree. The flowers were very
pretty this year!

Decorative rock from our garden spot.

Backyard Flowers

Zinnias

I love this picture of a sunflower getting ready to open.

This is a a jackmanii clematis that grows on the arbor
near our garden.

Pictures from My Backyard

Old glory!

Our rosebush was gorgeous this year thanks to all
the rain we've had.

I love this little glass sun garden stake.

Sunbeam! I took this one behind the hedgerow in our
backyard. We wallowed out a little trail back there.
There's lots of sticks and "little stuff" that we collect
when we build a fire in our firepit.

Sunflowers & Creatures

Check out this grasshopper soaking up the sun!

This picture took a great deal of patience on my part.
Terry will tell you that patience is something I don't
have a lot of. Anway, I stood under the arbor next to
our garden and snapped this picture of a goldfinch in
our sunflower patch. That's one of the many reasons
I love growing sunflowers. They provide free food for
our feathered friends.

Nature Knick Knacks

I'm a sucker for knick knacks, especially
celestial knick knacks. I thought I would
share just a few of them that I've collected
over the past few months and years.

This is one of my all time favs!

We've had this little sundial for a long time. I love how
it's rusting out. Gives it character!

I got this metal sunflower post at Hobby Lobby a couple
of years ago. The moment the weather starts warming up,
he comes out of storage.

The Geese of Morningside

Canadian geese like to hang around the pond at my mom's
place at Morningside. My niece Julia snapped this picture.
She's becoming quite the photographer! You can see more
of Julia's pictures on her fab blog, "Imagine."

Julia also took this awesome photo of one of the geese
struttin' his stuff. My sister Kay took the next two photos.
She has a really cool blog called "Three Sixty Five."

I love the old boat in the background.

Here's a great shot of the geese flying off the pond. Thanks
again to Kay and Julia for these wonderful pictures! My niece
Sarah also has her own rad blog called "Inspired By Life." I
love you guys!!!
