Our sweet, little Tree Swallows are back for the third year in a row.
They've set up house in the birdhouse overlooking our garden. Their
nest building is complete. You can see nesting material sticking out
from under the birdhouse. They take their time building their nests.
I've read that it takes up to two weeks for them to complete a nest.

The female is staying inside the birdhouse most
of the day which leads me to believe she has laid her
eggs. I walked up to the house yesterday afternoon
and took some pictures of her.

Dead tree in flower covered farmland. Gordonsville, TN. April
27th, 2012

For every beast of the forest is mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know all the birds of the hills,
and all that moves in the field is mine.
~Psalms 50: 10-11 ESV

Farmland in Gordonsville, Tennessee. This field was covered with
small yellow flowers. So pretty!

“Nor rural sights alone, but rural sounds,
Exhilarate the spirit, and restore
The tone of languid nature.” ~ William Cowper

Super Moon 2012!

Super moon...Saturday May 5th. I didn't realize it until I uploaded
this picture onto my computer, but I think that's a jet contrail in front
of the moon. I'm glad the weather was clear last night. What a beautiful
sight!

How Much is that Kitty in the Window?

Our cat, Bullet, loves sleeping in the window sill.
Here he is lounging in the window in our office room.
