Happy Halloween!

Pixie, kobold, elf, and sprite,
All are on their rounds tonight;
In the wan moon's silver ray,
Thrives their helter-skelter play. ~ Joel Benton

Fall in My Neighborhood

I took these pictures a week ago. The leaves were beautiful, but now with the winds from what's left of Hurricane Sandy, many of the leaves have blown off of the trees.
Happy Happy Birthday to my baby sister, Jane, who turned 51 today! I love you dude!

Reflections of trees in the water.
The same photo turned upside down. How cool is that? Looks like a painting.

These pictures were taken below the Standing Stone Bridge from the suspension bridge.
Terry took this shot and the following shots.

The one lane bridge over the Standing Stone Lake. I always loved going over this bridge as a kid, and I still do. We spent a lot of time in this park when I was growing up. We would rent one of the cabins for a week and spend most of our time at the swimming pool. So many cherished memories in this park!
Terry taking pictures from the top of the bridge. I took this shot from the little boat dock near the bridge.
Terry took this picture of me from the top of the bridge.
View from the boat dock. The leaves were so pretty!
Wildflowers near the boat dock.
I took this shot below the dam. They were having the 14th annual Standing Stone car show while we were there. Two Labrador pups are in the foreground. I'm not sure who they belonged to. They followed me around as I took pictures :0)

Standing Stone State Park

This past Saturday was a gorgeous fall day for a road trip. Me and Terry packed up the truck and headed to one of my favorite Tennessee state parks of all time, Standing Stone! This is the view from the overlook where we stopped to have lunch. On the way out of town we stopped at KFC and grabbed a bucket of chicken and fixings.
Terry chowing down in the picnic shed while I set up the camera and tripod. Even though there was an antique car show going on in the park, we had the place all to ourselves.
I made it a point to bring my camera shutter remote so I could get a couple of shots of me and the hubby :0)
After lunch it was back to the overlook for one last look
and a gratuitous photo of the hubby and me. More pics from Standing Stone to come.
